I'm a lazy poster... but I finished something!

Ok, I know... I haven't updated in a while. I suppose Christmas took over, then learning to drive (I passed, yay!) then it was teaching, assessments... you get the picture.

So I thought I'd share something with you that I finished. Oh yes, I finished something alright. Well quite a few things acyually, they were Christmas presents after all :)

This is the quilt I made for my mum (my first ever quilt). It is a lot thicker than a regular quilt... Winters in England can get quite chilly you know... so that made it quite hard to sew through my cheapy machine, but it was worth it. I used Amy Butler's Daisy Chain, with French Wallpaper and Royal Garden Clay (for a bit of extra added orangyness) for the colour blocks and Kashmir Olive for the binding. The backing is zingy Erin McMorris Leaf Dots in orange.
It's not the most complicated quilt in the world, but be kind, it was my first try :)

  2. Haha, if you call a Victorian mid-terrace a fairytale! :) We do try hard though, and it's getting there, slowly. Thanks for your lovely comments!
